How can you have the best possible workout and feel rejuvenated afterwards? Juicing fresh fruits and vegetables is an excellent way to bring more energy to your workouts. The nutrients from juicing will enhance your workout, allowing for you to push yourself to the limit and be more effective. You will actually feel stronger and have more energy from drinking juice drinks before and after a workout. Minerals from fresh fruits and vegetables help to build muscle tone and you will feel fantastic and energized throughout your workout.
There are many different foods that give you energy, but right before a workout you don’t want to be weighed down by your body going through heavy digestion. Most energy foods have to go through a digestion process, which takes the body energy to complete. Because juiced fruits and vegetables are quickly digested, drinking your fruits and veggies right before a workout will give you the best possible boost. In fact, most of the nutrients that the human body requires are found in balanced quantities of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Benefits of juicing raw fruits and vegetables are many. When you juice your fruits and vegetables you receive vitamins and minerals immediately that go directly into your system giving you instant energy – vitamin assimilation begins right away. This is why juicing is so energizing.  Juices that are freshly squeezed or juiced in an automatic juice machine are the only juices that can help you lose weight and feel rejuvenated!

The best fruits for juicing are those with less pulp and more water content. They are apples, oranges, pears, grapefruits, oranges, berries, grapes, melons, peaches, and plums. The best veggies for juicing are cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, sweet potatoes, beets, leafy greens, celery, cabbage, and if you’re the adventurous type, garlic. Mix and match your fruits and vegetables for variety, flavor and nutritional balance. If you’re going to be doing a heavy workout that uses up more energy, eat a couple of bananas too.

Added benefits of juicing are the fact that juiced (fresh) fruits and vegetables improve clarity of your skin, enhancing skin tone remarkably. This is because there is so much nutrition in every glass that it rebuilds skin cells just as fast as they die off, providing you with a fresh, blemish free skin tone. Juicing is definitely an anti-aging remedy that truly works.

If you live in Cuenca it's certainly not difficult to find vegetables and fruits for juicing. It's truly one of the blessings of living in Cuenca where produce is so abundant, fresh, and delicious!

Just like Hippocrates, the father of medicine said, “Let food be your medicine”. And that is exactly what you’re doing when you juice – juicing is your medicine for life. So not only will you feel good on the inside but you will also look great on the outside. Nothing will boost your energy levels better than drinking your food before a workout. Enhance your health and your workouts with juicing!

It's recommended to juice on a consistent basis. Only juicing once in awhile will not provide the health benefits as if you juiced at least four to seven times a week. Juice to your health!
