The open floor plan gives a spacious feel and is a rare find in many of the homes in Cuenca.  Contact us here.

  1. Angie, in some of your videos I see mold stains occasionally in the corners of the rooms or the bathroom corners of the shower. I know it rains alot there so is there a big problem with mold and how does one prevent the mold problem?

Thanks for all you and Frank are doing to help the Expats. It's getting bad here in the U.S. and I'm afraid it is about to get much worse. As for the construction of homes and condos down in Equador, the craftsmanship far surpasses any thing we see here in the U.S.

    1. Yes, mold is a problem in Cuenca, especially in rooms that do not have adequate ventilation...and in the winter when it is cloudier.

We had mold in our house and I cleaned it with vinegar and we now crack open the windows in every room of the house during the day. It does help.

You can read about our problem with mold here: http://www.discovercuencaecuador.com/2012/05/health-risks-of-moving-to-cuenca.html

Also, we recorded an 8-part series on mold in Cuenca here: http://www.discovercuencaecuador.com/p/cuenca-ecuador-weather.html

  2. Thanks so much Angie. You guys are the best! :)
