These stores are actually huge department stores that carry almost everything from housewares and tools to linens and shoes. These low priced stores are located in several locations throughout the city of Panama and David. The clothes are brand new and cost less than going to a thrift store in the U.S!
We're an Expat Family of Five, Living Frugal, Healthy and Happy Abroad. We live in Cuenca, Ecuador and travel the Ecuador coast whenever we get a chance. We just adventured throughout the country of Panama for five weeks! Come along and enjoy some of our experiences with us!

What about sizes? Ecuadorans tend to be smaller and shorter than US or Canadian counterparts?
ReplyDeleteThese clothing stores are in Panama and they have large sizes. I bought several pairs of shoes in my size 8.5 with no problem in Panama.
DeleteDid you see anything larger? My husband wears a 13 shoe, my daughter a woman's size 11? As for clothes, we're all very tall and "fluffy", at least until we get to Ecuador and can get in some serious walking. We live in FL where if the sun heat and humidity don't do you in after 5 minutes, the mosquitoes will carry you away - can't wait until we're back in the Cuenca cool! We walked more the month we were there than we did the entire year before the trip.
